We ended up at Loch Fyne after our first-choice for lunch was fully booked, and it was no disappointment. We opted for the £12 set menu, and my friend's two-year-old ate free from a childrens menu with a range of tasty options (and ice cream!). The food was excellent, although my friend was concerned about one of her mussels, but when we mentioned this to the staff they quickly came back with an apology and an offer of free pudding. (Friend was fine so presumably mussel was actually OK too).
The informal but smart layout of the restaurant was great and Rohan enjoyed looking at the seafood on ice and naming them all (Charlie the crab etc). Most importantly, lovely and attentive staff who subtly retrived Rohan when he was roaming a little too far.
The lady on the next table was breastfeeding and no-one batted an eyelid.
