Chef Rachid has opened this light and airy restaurant that makes a change from the usual touristy fish-places in the Barceloneta.
The restaurant is focussed around the kitchen which is open so you can see all the food preparation, and the place has an atmosphere of 'casual dining' with cook-books on the windowsills and a basket of bolets on the cash-desk.
Despite the incredibly reasonable prices (12e menu del dia, 24e evening tasting menu, 9.95e for the steak au foie from the evening menu) the food is really special - I'd describe it as Catalan Market-style with a gastro-twist. Good quality ingredients, top preparation and presentation. Can't recommend it enough.
The staff are lovely and have no problem moving furniture around to accommodate groups (eg with buggies).
No high-chairs as yet although I did suggest to Rachid that he should get some, and also put changing tables in the enormous and spotlessly clean loos.
