Local authority centre with outdoor pool, central London
This is a local authority centre in the London Borough of Camden, so 'drop in' prices are very reasonable (£3.90 for a swim) and there are monthly memberships available too. As it's a fairly old building they do struggle a bit with access but they have done their best putting ramps in etc. The changing rooms for the wet side are downstairs so *not* buggy accessible although you can park buggies by the side of the pool as long as you don't mind walking the kids down the stairs..
The changing rooms are MASSIVE so no problems with space - I did suggest that they should put a couple of play-pens in so that kids can be kept out of the way while you get ready.
As I said, it's an old building with all the downsides that go with that - it's not a shiny new Holmes Place *but* there seemed to be a cleaner permanently on duty so the place is kept clean and tidy.
There is a small cafe selling packaged snacks, sandwiches etc - there isn't a kitchen in site, just a sandwich toaster and a microwave, so they can't be too flexible with children's snacks. If you come here for a swim and want to go for a coffee or snack afterwards you'd be better off popping round the corner as then you're into Covent Garden.
*Note* on term-time weekdays the indoor pool is used for schools swimming so there is only public swimming outside. This is nicer than it sounds as the pool is heated to 28 degrees, but don't forget big towels to wrap around you when you get out!
